Contracting – Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing
MEPCO’s contracting sector delivers physical electrical and infrastructure works through project-specific design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning packages. Backed by in-house engineering and simulation capabilities, our field execution team turns approved engineering drawings into robust, code-compliant, operational installations for power transmission, urban networks, military bases, university campuses, and industrial facilities.

Technical Scope & Engineering Capabilities
MEPCO Engineering Projects brings specialized domain knowledge, rigorous modeling standards, and practical site experience to every assignment. Our scope covers:
- Transmission and Distribution Networks: HV transmission lines, medium-voltage (MV) underground networks (11 kV, 22 kV, 33 kV), low-voltage (LV) distribution networks, cable trenching, duct banks, jointing, and public highway/urban street lighting.
- Electrical Equipment Installation: Distribution panels, package kiosks, power and distribution transformers (oil-filled and dry-type), LV and MV switchgear (Siemens SIMOPRIME and equivalent), industrial earthing systems, and emergency diesel generators with ATS/synchronizing panels.
- Renewable Energy Systems: Turnkey Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of rooftop and ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for governmental complexes, administrative facilities, and industrial plants.
- Fire and Infrastructure Networks: Certified civil defense systems, automatic fire alarm networks, fire pump stations, fire hydrants and sprinkler systems, potable water pipelines, and gravity sewage networks.
Software Platforms & Computational Tools
Engineering Management: AutoCAD, BIM / Revit MEP, Primavera P6 for project scheduling and resource tracking.
Testing Instruments: Secondary injection test sets (OMICRON), insulation resistance testers (Megger), earth ground resistance testers, and VLF hipot cable test sets.
Applicable Standards & Grid Codes
Installation Codes: IEC 60364 (Electrical Installations of Buildings), IEEE standards, NFPA 13/20/72 (Fire Protection).
Egyptian & Regional Authorities: Armed Forces Engineering Authority specifications, New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Ministry of Electricity & Energy standards.
Methodology & Project Delivery Workflow
Our engineering delivery aligns with MEPCO’s structured 6-stage project execution framework, ensuring quality throughout input verification, design modeling, and client handover:
- Stage 01 — Scope & Criteria Definition: Establish study boundaries, utility tie-in data, single-line diagrams, and client objectives.
- Stage 02 — Data Audit & Modeling Assumptions: Collect, verify, and validate manufacturer datasheets, impedance tolerances, and site operating configurations.
- Stage 03 — Simulation Model Development: Build detailed, validated mathematical digital models in specialized power software.
- Stage 04 — Computational Analysis & Verification: Execute base-case and contingency scenarios, conducting rigorous internal peer reviews.
- Stage 05 — Client Review & Approval: Present study findings, address technical comments, and participate in technical clarification sessions.
- Stage 06 — Final Handover: Deliver formal certified engineering reports, executive summaries, and native simulation model files.
